Jo Alch, RN // Founder & Ambassador of Brand Development
Jo is the Founder & Brand Ambassador at Acappella. For many years, Jo worked as a hospice field nurse, in addition to working as a triage nurse. Working in these spaces shed light upon a gap in exceptional private duty care and nursing services. Jo founded Acappella in 2006 with a vision to be the leading private pay agency in the Dallas Fort Worth area. Jo’s efforts have been recognized industry wide: being selected as one of the “Great 100 RNs” in Dallas in 2007, awarded D Magazine’s prestigious “Excellence in Nursing” for home care in 2012, and recognized by Nurses.Com magazine as a regional finalist for outstanding home care nursing. Jo’s passion for home care extends to her community involvement, as well, serving on the Board of Directors of the Texas Association for Home Care and Hospice and by being an active member on the private pay committee. She is currently serving on the board for the Community Council of Greater Dallas and is the committee chair for the Dallas Area Agency on Aging. Jo is an active member of her church choir, recently performing at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Originally from New Orleans, Jo loves participating in Krewe of Muses during Mardi Gras. Jo also loves being with her family, her loving husband and three wonderful children.
Tom Ives, RN // Regional Director
Tom Ives is the Regional Director at Acappella In Home Care. A former Naval Officer, he served in the U.S. Navy on two different ships of the U.S. Atlantic Fleet. Following his naval service, he worked in the defense contracting industry supporting the U.S. Navy and various international navies. A desire to reduce business travel led him to change careers to the health care field. Tom graduated from Collin College’s nursing program and has focused on home health. “I really enjoy helping our clients and their families. It is very rewarding to know you can make a positive difference in people’s lives.” Tom also is a member of the Board of Directors of the Fencing Institute of Texas.
Julie Beazley // Director of Client Care, CMC Care Manager Certified
Julie Beazley started her career after obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology from the University of North Texas. Her lifelong passion of caring for seniors became an exciting reality. Her career began as an activities director in a retirement community in the heart of downtown Fort Worth. It soon led to various marketing positions in several senior communities in Dallas. Helping seniors and their families became a career she was very proud to be part of. With over 16 years of experience working with seniors and their families, she brings a vast array of knowledge of the “booming” senior industry. In June 2013, Julie became a Certified Geriatric Care Manager, achieving one of her career goals. Through this certification she hopes to educate the community about care management and to continue her excellence in providing the best options for seniors. In addition to being the Director of Client Care, Julie also acts as the Marketing Director for Acappella In Home Care.
Stephanie Brittain // Client Care Manager
Stephanie has always had a desire to work in the healthcare industry, reflected in her first two jobs: during high school working in a dentist’s office and after college acting as a manager for a health insurance company. Although she thoroughly enjoys being involved in the healthcare space, she is first and foremost a loving mom to 3 wonderful children. Stephanie holds true to two sayings throughout her career and personal life: “Life is a journey” and “you will never regret being kind.” She loves being a Baylor Bear and have lived in North Dallas for 25 years. Once Stephanie saw the passion, commitment, and culture of Acappella’s team and organization as a whole, she couldn’t help but be drawn to their mission and efforts for the senior community. She feels blessed to work for a company with strong values of equality and compassion to it’s employees, clients, and caregivers.
Rachel O’Brien // Client Care Manager
Rachel began her career serving seniors 23 years ago at a skilled nursing facility in Fort Worth, TX. Her love of people, especially seniors, has allowed her to flourish in both of her roles as Human Resources Director, Marketing Director, and Client Care Manager. Rachel loves spending time with her husband of almost 30 years, their 5 children, and 3 grandchildren. Working for Acappella for almost 2 years, she truly values such a fulfilling and gratifying career, knowing she is making a difference in the lives of many seniors. In December of 2020, she’ll graduate from University of North Texas with a BAAS degree, focusing in Gerontology and Nutrition; her future goal is to become a Certified Geriatric Care Manager for Caring People.
Jane Rutledge // Client Liaison
Jane began her career in property management and has developed a passion for serving seniors. As a mother of two, Jane’s greatest pride and joy are her children and growing family. After working 15 years as an Office Manager at an elementary school, she joined the Acappella team as a Customer Relations Client Liaison. Her role includes building relationships with clients, ensuring all their needs are met, as well as supporting caregivers and care managers. A fun fact about Jane is her achievement as a waltz champion. Jane finds it truly rewarding to serve clients at Acappella!
