When are your caregivers available?

Our caregivers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We customize a schedule for our client’s needs.

Is there a minimum number of hours I must commit to?

We require a minimum of 4 hours per day Monday-Friday. And a minimum of 6 hours per day Saturday & Sunday.

What are your caregiver’s qualifications?

Our caregivers are thoroughly screened & must pass criminal background checks, and drug testing.  They are required to have at least 2 years of experience working as a caregiver.  They must be legal to work in the U.S.

How do I set up service?

You can set up service by calling 214-866-0085 to request a free in-home assessment. We answer 24 hours a day!

Do I need to sign a contract?

You will be asked to sign a consent form & service agreement which describes our guidelines, and policies. There is no long term contract.

Will Long Term Care Insurance pay for this type of service?

All LTC policies are different but most will reimburse families for in home care.  We will work with our families to help them understand their particular policy.

What if my caregiver is sick or goes on vacation?

This is one of the benefits of using our agency. We will find a fill-in caregiver in the event of caregiver emergency or vacation.

How do I determine which services I need?

Each client will receive an assessment to determine the care needed. Family members are welcome and are encouraged to participate in the process. We are the experts at helping our families by providing the best use of our services for their needs.

How do I pay for my services?

Our services are 100% private pay. Standard health care and Medicare do not cover the costs of long-term care.

Is Acappella licensed?

  • A Personal Attendant Service license certified by the State of Texas agency Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) for non-medical private pay services.
  • An LHH license (Licensed Home Health) for medical private pay services performed by our RNs and LVNs. Nursing staff are also licensed by the Department of Aging and Disability Services.

Caregivers are employees of Acappella. Their social security and payroll taxes are paid by the company. Acappella is also bonded and insured.
